The Government of the People’s Republic of
Bangladesh (GoB) has allocated public funds towards the cost of the
Professional services of LGED, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of
these funds to payments under the contract for the provision of consultancy
services for Preparation of Action Area Plan for Naryanganj and Gazipur City
Corporation by individual consultant- Urban Planner.
The qualifications and experience of the Consultants required for the
assignment are as follows:
i) Senior Urban Planner
The
primary objectives of this assignment is to monitoring and supervision of Action
area planning work of the consulting firms for Preparation of Action Area Plan
for Naryanganj and Gazipur City Corporation.
a)
Duration of the Services:
6 (Six) Months
b)
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in Urban
& Regional Planning from any recognized university/institute.
c)
Experience & adequacy for the assignment:
The consultant should have
at least 15 years of experience in the field of urban planning, urban
development, Project management, monitoring & evaluation and issues related
to urban governance. Experience in computer literacy, ability to work in word
processing, excel, power point and understanding working environment of GIS.
d)
Suitability:
·
Action plan related work.
·
Membership of BIP.
·
Experience in Detailed Area Planning work.
ii) Urban Planner
The
primary objectives of this assignment is to monitoring and supervision of Action
area planning work of the consulting firms for Preparation of Action Area Plan
for Naryanganj and Gazipur City Corporation.
a)
Duration of the Services:
17 (Seventeen) Months
b)
Educational Qualification:
Masters degree in Urban
& Regional/Rural Planning from any recognized university/institute.
c)
Experience & adequacy for the assignment:
The candidate should have
at least 6 years of experiences in the Urban Planning related work. He/She must
have enough experience to work with Project Management Office (PMO) on
monitoring and supervision of physical planning work of consulting firms.
He/She should have computer capability on GIS, Word processing, excels and
power point.
d)
Suitability:
·
Monitoring and supervision of physical planning
work
·
Membership of BIP.
·
Experience in Detailed Area Planning work.
The Superintending Engineer
(UM) LGED now invites eligible
Applicants to apply for the position. Applicants are invited to provide
information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services
(complete CV with other details as required as per the Application Forms).
Consultants will be selected using the selection of individual
consultant sub-method in accordance with the Public
Procurement Rules 2008. It is expected that the services will be commenced on 2nd
November 2014.
Interested Candidates are requested to submit their expressions of
interest in accordance with the standard Application Forms (PS3 for Sr. Urban Planner & PS4 for Urban
Planner, Standard Request for Application) which may be obtained from
the office of the undersigned during normal office hours. A complete set of
“Request for Application” including Term of Reference may also be obtained from
the office of the undersigned.
Expressions of Interest shall be
submitted by 2.00 PM on 19/10/2014, in sealed envelope delivered to undersigned and be clearly marked “Request for Expressions of Interest for
Selection of Individual Consultant”
including name of the post.
The
Client reserves the right to accept or reject any/all Expression of Interest
(EOIs).
