The overall project objective is to contribute to the Government’s efforts in reducing poverty by improving rural accessibility as well as strengthening rural market management infrastructure in Sylhet Division. More specifically

to provide villagers with improved access to national road network, social economic services (rural markets, health centers, schools etc.) and economic opportunity;

to promote growth centers through construction and or improvement of rural market centers;

to enhance capacity of the farmers to organize and market their agricultural products through formation of group farmers and piloting of the agricultural products to the nearby markets; and

to provide employment opportunities for the villagers through their participation in civil works.
