Project Implementation Strategy

The Project will be implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department. An experienced & Senior Civil Engineer of LGED will be appointed on deputation as the Project Director for the implementation period of the project. Required numbers of support officers/staffs will be appointed on deputation/temporary basis to assist the Project Director for the implementation period of the project at PD`s office. The Project Director’s office will be set-up at Dhaka to facilitate implementation of the project.

The Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer & Sub-assistant Engineers and supporting staffs under the will assist the Project Director for implementation activities of the project and also preparing yearly work plan, ADP report, IMED reports etc.

The Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer of LGED at district level will implement Construction/development of all the infrastructure of the project including rural road, bridge/culverts.

At Upazila level, the Upazila Engineer and his/her technical staff will provide support to the Executive Engineer in implementing the activities of the respective Upazila.

The Chief Engineer LGED will co-ordinate project activities to ensure proper and smooth implementation of the project.
