Local government Engineering department( LGED) will conduct its responsibilites as Executing agency under Local government division at the ministry of Local government, Rural development and Co-operatives. A PCO (Project Co-ordination office ) office will be established at the HQ of LGED under the leadership of Project director(PD).
Executive Engineers( XENs) under the Concerned districts implements field level activities . A PIU ( Project Implementation Unit) will be established under the leadership of an Executive Engineers of Concerned disticts. XENs/ AEs act as Project Manager to imply the activities of the project and he is responsible for Project planning and function project activities at field level. The staffs employed in the office of the Executive Engineer will provide him/her with necessary assistance. All the above mensioned employees will implement the project activities at the field level as an additional responsibilities.
Masterplan Preparation & implementation:
Consulting firm ( Package wise) will be appointed by PCO office. the appointed Consulting firm will formulate the master plan for the respective upazila town. Urban Planning Specilist ( individul Consultant) will be appointed by PCU. The Urban planning specialist will reveiw and verify the reports and maps prepared by the consulting firm and provide necessary directions to the project co-ordination office. The LGED GIS unit will verify and take necessary steps to preserve the information related to GIS surveys for Master plan formulation.
