Main Objectives of the Project are to remove physical bottlenecks for improving rural accessibility, upgrade quality and enhance sustainability of rural transport and market services; The specific objectives of the project are to:
i) Improve overall transport network of the Greater Rajshahi District to reduce transportation cost, improve marketing system, increase production and marketing facilities of agricultural products for socio-economic development of the project area.
ii) Assist in rural poverty alleviation by involving rural people in economic and social activities through development of rural infrastructure and creation of short and long-term employment opportunities in the farm and off farm sector.
