LGED will be executing agency for the City Region Development Project-II (Sector Loan Approach). LGED will be responsible for the overall planning, guidance, and management of their respective projects. Concerned LGED District Offices, City Corporations, and Pourashavas will be the implementing agencies (IAs) of the Project.

A Project Implementation Unit (PIU) will be established in each implementing agency. Implementing Agencies, in principle, will be City Corporations or Pourashavas or LGED district offices in the target city regions. The PIUs will be responsible for implementing the subprojects ensuring compliance with covenants, including safeguard measures.

A Project Steering Committee (PSC) will be established for the Second City Region Development Project. The PSC will provide policy guidance to the Project, oversee overall project implementation and ensure coordination among agencies and PIUs.
