The main objectives of the project are:

(i) To facilitate the improvement of sustainable power supply capacity of the Government through improvement and construction of the proposed Khulna 1320MWx2 Coal based Power plant connecting all weather road.
(ii) To provide accessibility and transportation facilities for construction and setting up the proposed Power Plant within the planned projected time.
(iii) Create employment opportunities for the rural poor through implementation of the project activities.
