Existing Logistics/Equipment/Resources:


IWRM(P&D) Unit facilitates in ensuring proper planning, design and implementation of small scale water resources development projects with their sustainable management by confirming Local Government Institution (LGI) as well as community participation with due concern for all environmental and social issues and thus, it offers a number of technical skills and equipment.

 

Equipment:

IWRM (P&D) Unit provides a large number of computers, printers, scanners, plotters, photocopiers, database Servers, printed book and journals, wireless network, plug-ins for personal laptop and on-line services & learning resources. The Unit offers different software such as Arc View, Oracle, MIS, GIMS and EIMS etc.

Human Resources & Training:

IWRM(P&D) Unit has a number of professional’s skills (i.e. Civil Engineer, Water Structure Designer, Hydrologist, Sociologist, Gender and Development Specialist, Safeguards Specialist, System Analyst, MIS Analyst, Agronomist, Aquaculturist and GIS Analyst) who are engaged in ensuring smooth implementation of SSWR sub-projects and their sustainable management. They offer different type of training to the field level official directly involved in preparing, implementing and maintaining the sub-projects. In addition, IWRM(P&D) Unit facilitates in providing the training to Water Management Co-operative Association (WMCA) to increase their capability in institutional management, capital formation, credit management, sustainable agricultural and fisheries production, improved farm practices and environmental management.

IWRMU initiates extensive training programs for the WMCA O&M (Operation & Maintenance) sub-committee members to perform regular O&M for the completed sub-project handed-over to them.

Function
