The main objectives of the project are as follows:

(1)Improve rural access and facilitate agricultural production through construction of bridges to establish linkage between the Upazila, Growth centres, Union Parishad, Rural hats, bazars or with the roads of higher order.
(2) Reduce transportation time, cost and to ease marketing of agricultural products to other parts of the country.
(3)Generate employment opportunities for the rural poor through construction of rural transport infrastructure.
