The scope of this project is the construction/reconstruction of 40,000 additional classrooms and 8,000 wash blocks; sinking 8,000 deep tube wells; and supplying furniture to classrooms and teachers’ rooms. LGED will be responsible for constructing additional classrooms; DPHE will be responsible for constructing wash blocks and sinking deep tube wells; and District Primary Education Officers (DPEO) will be responsible for procuring furniture through Open Tendering Method (OTM) using e-GP.
Role of Directorate of Primary Education (DPE):
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MoPME) is responsible for formulating overall policies and guidelines, while DPE will be responsible for implementing the project.
Role of Project Management Office (PMO):
The Project Management Office (PMO), headed by the Project Director (PD) of NBIDGPS-1, will deal with all issues related to the execution of the project
